COVID Mitra Centres are setup for these purpose
1. Triage / Investigation (immediate) for COVID Positive patients with severe health issues that need immediate evaluation and hospitalisation ( Note this are not emergency cases
2. ‘COVID Mitra’ whose aim is to identify COVID-19 positive patients in early stages and saving their lives, So if anyone who is positive and health or symptoms are getting worse - then COVID MItra is the right place to go to.
Current COVID Mitra has saved the lives health of hundreds of patients — on an average of 30 to 35 patients are screened daily.
More Covid Mitra Centres are needed to assist the bottlenecks created due to late RTPCR results and public's own apprehension about testing and getting medical attention at the right time.
What to expect:
COVID-infected patients will come first to ‘COVID Mitra’ where doctors will examine them and advise them whether to be in home isolation or to get admitted to COVID Care Centres or hospitals depending on the severity of infections.
